dental care for pets - Countryside Veterinary Clinic

Healthy pets have healthy teeth!

Just like humans, regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s teeth. Pets should have their teeth evaluated every 12 months at their annual wellness examination. Our veterinarians may recommend water additives, dental chews, daily brushing or dental cleaning. Proper dental care for your pet helps improve the overall health and longevity of your pet!

What happens during my pet’s dental examination?

Every dental case begins with a consultation, complete physical examination, and blood work. While your pet is under anesthesia we use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly – above and below the gum line. Dental technicians then polish the teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface which is more resistant to plaque buildup. Flouride treatment is then applied to help strengthen the enamel and to reduce tooth sensitivity. Our team of registered veterinary technicians and surgeons are proud to provide the highest level of care for your pet’s teeth.

Our dental experts are happy to help all dogs and cats keep their pearly whites shining. Schedule your pet’s dental check-up today!
