Health Screening Tests

These tests are vital for keeping your pets healthy:

Heartworm and Tick Borne Disease Testing:

Blood sample drawn in our canine patients annually to test for heartworm disease, lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, and anaplasmosis (tick-borne diseases)

Fecal Testing:

Stool sample collected in our canine and feline patients annually to test for intestinal parasites

Early Detection Screening:

Blood work which can be drawn during any wellness visit to examine the white blood cell count, red blood cell count and platelet count, kidney function, liver values, electrolytes, blood glucose, and total protein to check for underlying medical conditions

Senior Blood Screen:

Important Blood Work to examine white blood cell count, red blood cell count and platelet count, kidney function, liver values, electrolytes, blood glucose, total protein, thyroid levels to check for underlying medical conditions in our canine and feline patients

Urinalysis:

Urine test to check for red blood cells, white blood cells, glucose, bilirubin, bacteria, or cancer cells in the urine and to check the concentrating ability of the kidneys

Phenobarbital Levels

CBC/Chemistries to monitor patients on NSAIDS

Thyroid Levels

Cushing’s disease tests to monitor Cushing’s disease
